Vintage Mavaut Tin Litho Traffic Game. From behind the Iron Curtain. From Hungary or East Germany. This is an almost exact copy of the street layout of the Ohio Art game "Traffic Control" of the 1950's-1960's.(The city and country backgrounds are different). Whether it was produced by the same company, or who copied who, I know not. There is a company logo "L" in Photo No. 6, but what it represents Google and I have not been able to discover. May have been manufactured in East Germany, or in Hungary. May have been used for driver training - you will pull the levers to get the car to stop when another car has the right of way. This set is similar to the German vintage driver training/toy Technofix. Very rare, but in pristine condition. No rust, and looks unused.
Includes two cars and a wind-up key. When fully wound up, they can run for a minute or so. A great addition to your vintage wind-up toy collectibles!
